LACE BOBBIN WOOD SPECIES

The species scientific names are included to exactly define the
wood used.
To aid in comparing species, all photos are the standard
112mm "Maple Leaf" style bobbins.
All domestic wood species used for making these bobbins is sourced
from wood grown in Ontario, Canada.
Sources include sustainably managed forests,
trees downed in storms, invasive species removals,
farm woodlot
harvesting and city tree pruning.
Tropical wood species are sourced only from FSC certified suppliers.
NOTE: Some tropical species are now
listed as endangered. These will no longer be available from my
woodshop.
Species include; most Rosewoods, Pink Ivory, African Blackwood,
Ebony, Verawood and a few others.
